Certified Kettlebell Trainer

I just got back got from two days of Kettlebell Instructor training with my good friend Steve Cotter and with my new friend Ken Blackburn.

I am now a Certified Kettlebell Trainer in the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation. We all had a great weekend!

I am already looking forward to the next time!

Steve in action with two 32 kg bad boys! I am always in shock when I watch Steve lift. He can lift of reps all day and control crazy size weights with no problem. Functional strength as it should be!
Ken is also one of the top American kettlebell competitors and currently holds the American record in the jerk and is the 2007 World Champion in the Chair Press.

You could not train with better guys!

Correct Wing Chun Push Up

Arron demos the correct Wing Chun Push Up. When you punch you must have bends in each joint to direct kinetic vector forces. That is why you do not lock you elbow out when punching and also why your wrist is not straight as many people believe.

Gaby Rosenthal a Warrior functional Training Instructor finished the London Marathon with a time of 2.54!!

She was so well conditioned for the event that she was back in the gym the next day!

Gaby is a excellent runner and with the added functional training was able to be at her best for the event.

Ultra Marathon - Confessions

Gareth sent me a book which I read without putting down called Ultra Marathon - Confessions of an all-night runner by Dean Karnazes.

He runs 100 mile Marathons!

This guy is crazy! It is such a great read. You really get inside the mind of a person who doesn't know how to give up. It was so inspiring I thought about running to the shop and back! Long runs are not for me, but you do learn a lot of life lessons from this book. You can't help but feel the need to try better in life after reading this.
